The UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) is a mandatory conformity mark of the UK which replaces both CE and reverse epsilon markings. Manufacturers have to start using the UKCA marking until January 1, 2023.

In order to lessen challanges in confrorming to the new UK Regulatory Regime, the Government of the United Kingdom has recently announced supporting measures for businesses which are adopting the UKCA marking:

  • Reducing re-testing costs for UKCA certification.

  • Abolishing need to re-test existing imported stock.

  • Continuing to accept spare parts onto the GB market.

  • Allowing manufacturers to affix the UKCA marking and to include importer information for products from EEA countries (in some cases Switzerland), on an accompanying document or label until December 31, 2025.

More information is available on GOV.UK. Her Majesty's Government has also updated its guidance on using the UKCA marking and placing manufactures goods on the market in Great Britain.
